We are going to move/remove the RAM to see if that is causing it not to display.
- Circled in YELLOW is where the RAM in located (Depending on the system there could either be 1 or 2 sticks of RAM)
- Please follow the instructions based on How Many sticks of RAM are present:
1 Stick of RAM
- Located at the top and bottom of the RAM sticks are TABS holding it in place (Example circled in RED)
- Press down on the tabs on both ends to release the RAM.
- Remove the RAM, and place it into the other slot(s)
- When reinserting the RAM, make sure the tabs at the top and bottom are open, and align the slit on the RAM with the slot.
- Press the RAM firmly. The tabs will close and click when it is secure.
- Turn on the PC to see if it displays.
- Make sure to try all the available slots.
2 Sticks of RAM
- Located at the top and bottom of the RAM sticks are TABS holding it in place (Example circled in RED)
- Release 1 RAM by pressing down the tabs on both ends to release the stick.
- Turn on the PC to see if it displays with the 1 stick in the PC.
- If no display, move the Slotted stick into another available slot and see if it displays.
- Before testing with the other stick of RAM ensure all slots are tested
- When reinserting the RAM, make sure the tabs at the top and bottom are open, and align the slit on the RAM with the slot.
- Press the RAM firmly. The tabs will close and click when it is secure.
- Repeat steps with other RAM.
